These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SkyStar website, research content, membership services and other services provided by SKYSTAR ADVISORY LIMITED, a limited company incorporated in Hong Kong (“SkyStar”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By accessing our website, creating an account, purchasing research, subscribing to a membership or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. About SkyStar
SkyStar provides independent research, market intelligence and related services focused primarily on energy, power markets, infrastructure and related sectors.
Certain services may be subject to additional policies or separate engagement terms. Where separate terms expressly apply to a particular service, those terms will prevail to the extent of any inconsistency.
2. Accounts
Certain content and services may require a SkyStar account.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity conducted through your account.
You must notify us if you become aware of unauthorized access to or use of your account.
3. Membership
SkyStar may offer monthly, six-month and annual membership plans.
Membership provides access to eligible Member Research and other benefits associated with the selected plan. Membership does not include all content or services offered by SkyStar.
Membership access, online reading, PDF download eligibility, Research Preferences, renewal and expiry are governed by our Membership Policy.
Unless otherwise expressly agreed, membership access is personal to the registered member.
4. Premium Research
Certain research may be designated as Premium Research and sold separately from membership.
Premium Research is not included in standard Member Research access. Eligible members may receive preferential pricing according to their membership plan.
Separately purchased Premium Research will be made available through the purchaser’s account or My Library in accordance with our Digital Delivery Policy.
5. Custom Research
SkyStar may provide Custom Research or other bespoke research and advisory services in response to specific client requirements.
Custom Research is separate from membership and from the purchase of published research products.
The scope, deliverables, fees, timetable, permitted use and other terms of a Custom Research engagement may be governed by a separate proposal, engagement letter, statement of work or agreement. Where such terms conflict with these Terms, the terms of the relevant engagement will prevail in relation to that engagement.
6. Purchases and Payments
Prices, applicable membership periods, discounts and other material purchase terms will be displayed at the relevant point of purchase.
You are responsible for providing accurate billing information and for any applicable taxes, charges or fees unless otherwise stated.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment service providers.
Memberships do not automatically renew by default. Where automatic renewal is available, it must be affirmatively enabled by the member and will be subject to the applicable Membership Policy and checkout terms.
7. Digital Delivery
Digital research products may be delivered through account access, online reading, My Library, PDF download, email or another electronic method specified for the relevant product.
Access and delivery arrangements are further described in our Digital Delivery Policy. Membership-specific access and download rights are described in our Membership Policy.
8. Permitted Use
Unless otherwise expressly stated, SkyStar research and other content are provided for the purchaser’s or authorized user’s own internal research, analysis and decision-support purposes.
You may not, without our prior permission or an applicable licence:
- resell or commercially redistribute SkyStar content;
- publicly post or publish substantial portions of SkyStar content;
- systematically copy, scrape, extract or reproduce our research library;
- circumvent access, download or technical restrictions;
- share account credentials with unauthorized users; or
- represent SkyStar content as your own work.
Additional licence terms may apply to particular products or corporate arrangements.
9. Intellectual Property
The SkyStar website, research reports, analysis, graphics, databases, methodologies, written content and other materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except for the limited rights expressly granted through the relevant product, membership or engagement, no ownership rights are transferred to you.
“SkyStar”, “天为星” and related branding may not be used in a manner that suggests sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation without our permission.
10. Research Content and Updates
Research reflects the information, assumptions, market conditions and analytical judgment applicable at the time it is prepared.
Markets, regulations, technologies, companies and other circumstances may change after publication. SkyStar is not obligated to update previously published research unless expressly stated otherwise.
SkyStar does not guarantee publication of any specific number of research reports during a membership period unless expressly stated otherwise.
Any indication of expected publication frequency is for general information and planning purposes only.
11. No Professional or Investment Advice
SkyStar research is provided for research, informational and commercial decision-support purposes.
It does not constitute investment, financial, legal, tax, accounting, regulatory or other professional advice, and should not be treated as a recommendation to enter into any particular investment, transaction or course of action.

12. Third-Party Information
Our research may use or refer to information obtained from public sources, third-party databases, market participants, industry sources or other external sources.
While we seek to use sources we consider appropriate, we do not guarantee that all third-party information is complete, current or free from error.
13. Website and Service Availability
We aim to maintain reliable access to our website and digital services, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
We may modify, suspend or restrict parts of the website or services where reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal, technical or operational reasons.
14. Refunds
Refund eligibility for memberships, Premium Research and other digital purchases is governed by our Refund Policy.
Custom Research engagements may be subject to separate cancellation and payment provisions.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SkyStar will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from the use of, or reliance on, our website, research or services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices or applicable requirements.
The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Subject to any mandatory rights under applicable law, the courts of Hong Kong shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms.
